WASHINGTON — Mike Davis, Founder and President of the Article III Project (A3P) and Internet Accountability Project (IAP), issued the following statement after Todd Blanche, President Trump’s nominee for Deputy Attorney General, and Gail Slater, President Trump’s nominee to serve as the Assistant Attorney General for the Antitrust Division, completed their confirmation hearings before the Senate Judiciary Committee:
"Todd Blanche’s confirmation hearing was a resounding success. He demonstrated not only his extensive legal experience but also his unwavering commitment to the rule of law and his vision for much-needed reforms at the Department of Justice. With his background as a federal prosecutor and his distinguished career as a law partner at a major New York law firm, Todd is exceptionally qualified to serve as Deputy Attorney General.
“Blanche’s proven track record of fighting against politically motivated attacks, including representing President Trump in the face of unprecedented lawfare and election interference, showcases his ability to stand firm under pressure and uphold justice. Todd is the right choice for this critical role, and I have full confidence that he will work tirelessly to restore integrity to the DOJ and end the lawfare coming from the inside.
“Gail Slater’s confirmation hearing before the Senate Judiciary Committee showcased her outstanding qualifications and readiness to serve. It’s clear that she is the right choice at a critical moment to lead the DOJ’s Antitrust Division. Gail’s leadership will guide the division’s law enforcement efforts with a vision to develop a more competitive economy that champions U.S. innovation, supports small businesses, and ensures a level playing field for all.
“President Trump remains committed to confronting Big Tech monopolists who illegally stifle competition, silence conservative voices, and jeopardize American security and global leadership. Gail is the best person to spearhead this fight as the Department’s top antitrust law enforcement officer. The Article III Project stands firmly behind her nomination and strongly encourages both the Senate Judiciary Committee and the full Senate to confirm her without delay so she can get to work,” said Davis.
The Article III Project (A3P) was founded by veteran GOP operative and attorney Mike Davis, who, after helping win the Senate confirmation battles of Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh, developed the reputation as a “take-no-prisoners conservative eager to challenge the left with hardball tactics,” as reported in The New York Times.
IAP is a nonprofit conservative advocacy group that holds Big Tech accountable for engaging in egregious business practices like snooping, spying, political bias against conservatives, employee abuses and anticompetitive conduct. Davis previously served as Chief Counsel for Nominations to Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) on the United States Senate Committee on the Judiciary and led the Senate confirmation of Justice Brett Kavanaugh and a record number of circuit court judges.
