WASHINGTON — Mike Davis, Founder and President of Article III Project (A3P), issued the following statement after the Senate voted to confirm Tulsi Gabbard as President Donald Trump’s Director of National Intelligence:

“Tulsi Gabbard's confirmation as Director of National Intelligence is a testament to her unparalleled qualifications, which are a combination of military expertise, legislative experience, and a commitment to national security. With her distinguished service as a Major in the Hawaii Army National Guard, including her deployment to Iraq and Kuwait, she brings firsthand knowledge of military operations and intelligence gathering in complex, high-stakes environments. Her numerous accolades, including the Combat Medical Badge and Meritorious Service Medal, demonstrate her exceptional leadership under pressure.

“In addition to her military background, Gabbard's four terms in Congress allowed her to directly engage with national security issues through her work on the House Committee on Armed Services, particularly the Subcommittees on Intelligence and Special Operations, as well as on Homeland Security and Financial Services. Gabbard's confirmation marks a crucial moment in the evolution of the nation's intelligence apparatus, which is in desperate need of reform. Her broad and diverse experience ensures she will fortify America's position against emerging threats,” said Davis.

Since her nomination was first announced two months ago, Article III Project’s Action Center coordinated more than 37,000 contacts including emails, calls, and social media posts, from over 9,000 constituents urging their home-state senators to vote to confirm Gabbard.

The Article III Project (A3P) was founded by veteran GOP operative and attorney Mike Davis, who, after helping win the Senate confirmation battles of Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh, developed the reputation as a “take-no-prisoners conservative eager to challenge the left with hardball tactics,” as reported in The New York Times.‍‍

A3P defends constitutionalist judges, punches back on radical assaults on judicial independence (like court-packing) and opposes judicial and other nominees who are outside of the mainstream. Davis previously served as Chief Counsel for Nominations to Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) on the United States Senate Committee on the Judiciary and led the Senate confirmation of Justice Brett Kavanaugh and a record number of circuit court judges.
