WASHINGTON – Mark Lucas, executive vice president and founding board member of the Article III Project (A3P), is launching Veteran Action, a new veteran organization advocating for America First policies that strengthen national security and provide support for our veterans. A3P founder and president Mike Davis will serve as a board member and senior counsel for Veteran Action. Lucas will step down as EVP and remain on the board of A3P.

Lucas joined A3P full-time as EVP to defend President Donald Trump from unprecedented lawfare. He focused his efforts on building a grassroots army by creating the A3P Action Center that recruited tens of thousands of volunteers to contact their lawmakers. Lucas successfully defended Pete Hegseth with a media blitz and submitted congressional testimony during his historic confirmation as Secretary of Defense. The Article III Project recruited over 60,000 volunteers who contacted their lawmakers over 250,000 times in support of Hegseth and Trump’s cabinet nominees.

“Mark Lucas has been an indispensable leader at the Article III Project, and while we will certainly miss his expertise and dedication, we are thrilled to see him take this next step with Veteran Action. As a board member and senior counsel, I look forward to continuing our mission to strengthen national security and support our veterans, while advocating for the America First policies that will protect and serve this nation. Mark’s unwavering commitment to our country and our cause is remarkable, and we look forward to partnering with him in this new chapter,” said Davis.

“The Article III Project is the most effective grassroots organization for which I’ve had the honor of working. Mike Davis and I became friends at the University of Iowa. It’s been amazing to watch him build a historic organization that saved America from the left's republic-ending lawfare. I look forward to remaining on A3P’s board and having Mike join my efforts at Veteran Action,” said Lucas.

The Article III Project (A3P) was founded by veteran GOP operative and attorney Mike Davis, who, after helping win the Senate confirmation battles of Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh, developed the reputation as a “take-no-prisoners conservative eager to challenge the left with hardball tactics,” as reported in The New York Times.‍‍
